Besides the horrible name, which actually deterred a friend of mine from even walking one block to try this place except out of default when Meli’s was over crowded, Brunch really is a great spot. High ceilings, exposed original wood columns, and windows for walls makes it bright and open even though it doesn’t have a patio.
Plenty of fun combinations, a unique salsa fresca, pillow puff potatoes, and a chef that’s personable and flexible make up for the creativity drained name. Perfect execution of the healthy spinach, vegetable, poached egg, and deliciously fresh Norwegian lox and caper dish that I was allowed to conjure up for a small up charge of… Yikes!
I could have saved $9 and ordered the spicy jalapeño ratatouille with poached eggs. Not something you normally find for brunch. I may have to return to this Wi-Fi equipped locale for this skillet before the menu changes at the end of this month. Almost forgot to mention, Brunch had tasty coffee, and the most delicious Mighty Leaf tropical green tea served in random mugs that were donated in support of Earth Day conservation efforts. Love to those who look out for our planet!
